Mexia is poised to capitalize on the growth in Central Texas with its strategic location in the “Heart of the Texas Triangle.”

The city is located on U.S. Highway 84 approximately 90 miles south of the Dallas/ Fort Worth metro area. U.S. 84 links the two primary north-south interstate highways in Texas. Just 22 miles to Interstate 45 and 35 miles to Interstate 35, Mexia is perfectly located as a distribution hub. 93 % of the United States population is accessible within 48 hours of Mexia via highway travel. In addition, Texas Highways 171 and 14 provide redundant access to major distribution centers assuring the Mexia business community of uninterrupted logistics systems.

A new concrete road has been built in the Mexia Industrial Park to provide further access to nearly 600 acres of Mexia EDC owned property. This project also resurfaced and upgraded the current road at the Industrial Park. This $2.7 million project is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2019 and will provide ideal construction sites for new industry with all utilities in place and ready for connection.
