Located in southeast Alabama along U.S. Highways 231 and 84, Dale County serves as the economic hub of the region. Dale County is home to the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence, which has an annual direct economic impact of more than $1.5 Billion, and advanced manufacturing and technology-based employers such as Bell Helicopter, Michelin North America, CSRA, MAHA USA, Brown Manufacturing, E & H Steel and CAE. Its proximity to the Gulf Coast as well as markets in both Georgia and Florida make the region a prime strategic location for doing business.

The mission of the ODEC is to improve the economy of Dale County through the creation and preservation of jobs and wealth. As the lead countywide organization responsible for promoting and marketing the assets of Dale County, ODEC strives to bring in new industrial opportunities while retaining existing industries and assisting in expansion efforts.
