On August 8th, 2023, TBIC will once hosted its annual Transatlantic Business & Investment Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
Under the overarching theme of ‘How European FDI Powers American Manufacturing,’ the event brought together 100+ attendees, including the TBIC membership of community and corporate members, as well as the Advisory Council of FDI experts for a day of networking and learning. We were also honored to welcome Consul General of Germany to Atlanta Melanie Moltmann and Deputy Consul General of the United Kingdom to Atlanta Colin Gray as well as seasoned site selection experts such as Sarah Carnes, Location Strategy Consultant at Deloitte and Carl Quesinberry, Senior Director of the Avison Young Consulting Group.
Our panels highlighted the deep political, social, and economic ties between Europe and the US, while also noting the challenges that lie ahead. Europe will continue to invest in the US, but the site selection landscape is changing. From renewable energy and sustainability, to automation and the future of work, our panels engaged with some of the most pressing topics in transatlantic relations and FDI.
It was a wonderful event and we thank all panelists and participants for joining us! We are already looking forward to next year’s conference.
