Meridian, Lauderdale County

Meridian, Lauderdale County is located in East Central Mississippi. Meridian is known for its easy access to all parts of the country via two Interstate highways, I-20 and I-59 that cross through Meridian. There are also two Class-1 railroads that service Meridian, Norfolk Southern Rail and Kansas City Southern Rail.

Within 60 miles of Meridian there are 330,000 people. Major industries include healthcare (6,600 employees), manufacturing (4,200 employees), military installations (Navy Air Station-Meridian 3,500 employees / Air National Guard 1,000 Employees) and Retail/Restaurants (8,000 employees).

Meridian is also home to the State of Mississippi Arts & Entertainment Museum, the Mississippi State University Riley Performing Arts Center and soon to be Meridian Children's Museum. Meridian's downtown is both historic and vibrant consisting of 90 city blocks.
