Golden Triangle Region

The Golden Triangle references a region in North Mississippi encompassing Columbus, Starkville and West Point. The region’s industrial and retail development is represented by the Golden Triangle Development LINK. A multi-modal destination, the region boasts heavy-duty water, rail, road and air methods for product and source movement.

The Golden Triangle Regional Airport is Mississippi’s third largest commercial airport and local highways connect to I20, I22 Corridor and I55. Three ports provide direct access to the Port of Mobile to the South and Ohio River Valley to the North. Three industrial parks located in Columbus and West Point are served by Kansas City Southern Railway’s connectivity to the East and West Coasts, Canada and Mexico. The region boasts three Tennessee Valley Authority certified mega sites, two-shovel-ready industrial parks in Clay and Lowndes counties and one new park under development in Oktibbeha County. The Golden Triangle actively targets automotive, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, hyperdata, paper and food sectors to add to their diverse portfolio of manufacturing employers.
