Hampton Roads

Located in the mid-Atlantic, the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance (the Alliance) represents 11 communities in the Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News Metropolitan Statistical Area. Their mission is to attract, grow and retain high wage industries, talent and jobs. The Alliance serves as the region’s single point of contact for corporate and site location consultant inquiries, seeking assistance with real estate site selection, data analysis, workforce development, educational resources, business services and more.

The region, often referred to as Hampton Roads, is located in the business-friendly Commonwealth of Virginia, approximately 300 kilometers from Washington, D.C. The region is home to The Port of Virginia, which features the best natural deep water harbor on the East Coast with its unobstructed, ice-free harbor and 50 feet deep channels.
