The Shoals, comprised of Colbert and Lauderdale Counties and collectively designated as the Florence-Muscle Shoals MSA, is a vibrant region that is the center for economic development and commerce in Northwest Alabama. The Shoals EDA is focused on enhancing the region's business ecosystem by ensuring it has what it takes to be successful: affordable housing for people who live and work here, a trained and employable workforce, infrastructure, and enough economic and talent diversity to secure the resiliency of The Shoals economic future. With the availability of over 1,000 acres of prime industrial property, industrial buildings, and a robust and reliable electricity generation portfolio focused on a diverse and cleaner energy mix, The Shoals EDA is prepared to support industrial development in the area.
