Greater Hattiesburg Area Development Partnership

Greater Hattiesburg Area Development Partnership

Fostering a vibrant, diverse business community through economic and community development

Hattiesburg is currently buzzing with over $400M in construction projects. These range from wood processing facilities and regional headquarters to Fortune 50 food and beverage plants. This surge of activity signifies our region’s capacity for substantial economic growth and the diverse opportunities available for businesses looking to expand or relocate.

Our growth initiatives continue with sustained site development efforts. With the support of the state and significant local investment, we have cleared more than 1,200 acres at our Eagle One Mega Site, with plans to invest in full site development of over 400 acres for major industrial and commercial ventures. The I-59 Supply Chain Park boasts a ready-for-development 124-acre distribution site with prime interstate access, and our technology park, "The Garden," is benefiting from $3 million in site development investments for clearing and preparing designated pads.

Beyond our economic developments, Hattiesburg is celebrated for its exceptional quality of life typically enjoyed in vibrant university metro areas. Our community boasts a variety of outdoor activities, from exploring the Longleaf Trace to engaging in sports and recreational activities at our numerous parks and green spaces. Our education system, from primary to higher education, is robust, providing a strong foundation for our youth and opportunities for lifelong learning.
